I was introduced to the world of technology in 1980 with punch cards, thanks to my father's work as a software engineer. In 1981, I played my first game, and by 1982, I had a C64, starting my coding journey with Basic. By 1988, I was deeply into DOS/Basic programming.
In 1993, I began studying Computer Engineering and fell in love with Pascal. I encountered C and C++ in 1994 and graduated in 1997. After working with AS-400 during military service in 1998, I began embedded development in 1999 and explored ops management software as a Product Manager in 2000.
Starting in 2001, I ventured into consultancy for Identity and Access Management products. My first encounter with APM and Mercury Diagnostics was in 2003. By 2004, I was deep into Java, obsessed with data structures by 2006, and mastered Regex in 2007. I implemented the SIP RFC in 2008 and discovered Hudson CI/CD in 2009. In 2010, I developed my own DevOps system using Jira, SVN, and Bamboo.
From 2011 to 2018, I completed 15 APM and 5 IAM implementations. In 2019, I gained hands-on experience with open-source APMs. My quest for optimal OSS recipes began in 2020 with opentelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and PlantUML.
By 2021, opentelemetry had become my primary focus. In 2023, I started mapping observability with cytoscape.js...
